ICEFAT – International Convention of Exhibition and Fine Art Transporters

ICEFAT is the leading international organization dedicated to fine art logistics. Founded in 1977 and based in Geneva, it currently brings together 81 independent companies across 38 countries, all specializing in the transportation, handling, packing, storage, and installation of artworks, antiques, and valuable objects.

Membership in ICEFAT is highly selective. Applicants must demonstrate significant experience, a commitment to ethical business practices, and compliance with the organization’s stringent standards. Since 2023, all members undergo an independent audit conducted by Ernst & Young, based on 181 criteria across 13 categories, ensuring the highest levels of quality and security.

ICEFAT organizes an annual international convention in a different country each year, promoting networking among members and the sharing of best practices. The 47th edition took place in Amsterdam in October 2024, gathering more than 210 delegates representing 76 member companies.

ICEFAT members operate across six continents, providing global coverage for art transportation. Member countries include South Africa, Germany, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China (including Hong Kong), South Korea, Denmark, Ecuador, Spain, the United States, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Portugal, Qatar, the Czech Republic, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, and Turkey.
