Transexpo recently showcased its expertise in international fine art transport by managing the shipment of pieces for the "Flight" exhibition at the Musée de l’Air et de l’Espace in Le Bourget. This major operation involved the handling of 157 artworks from seven lenders based in France, Belgium, and Germany.
For this project, Transexpo delivered a full range of services tailored to the specific requirements of each artwork:
The wide variety of transported artworks — including three-dimensional pieces such as sculptures and models, as well as two-dimensional works like paintings and drawings — required a bespoke approach for each object. Thanks to its proven experience and expertise, Transexpo met the challenge and ensured the safety and preservation of every artwork throughout the process.
About the "Flight" Exhibition
Until July 27, 2025, the Musée de l’Air et de l’Espace in Le Bourget is hosting "Flight", an exhibition exploring the diversity of flying creatures — from airplanes, helicopters, and drones to birds, bats, insects, and even flying fish.
Through a scientific, biological, and technological lens, the exhibition highlights the similarities and differences between the animal world and aeronautics. Developed in partnership with the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, Universum® Bremen, and Parque de las Ciencias in Granada, "Flight" is making its first stop at Le Bourget.
The museum complements the exhibition with a selection of items from its own collections — including engines, propellers, and flight instruments — illustrating recent advances in aviation.
This collaboration between Transexpo and the Musée de l’Air et de l’Espace underlines the crucial role of expert logistics in the success of major international cultural events.
